Woven from the Tamshi vine by the Shiwilu tribe who live deep in the Peruvian Amazon. They live a simple lifestyle of hunting, fishing, and gathering.  Inspired from traditional baskets used to collect and transport goods. 

Organic simplistic design, these baskets are handwoven from the Totora Reed, which grows in the coastal wetlands to the high plateaus of Lake Titicaca.

Perfect for storing everyday items or as a sculptural piece in your home.

Throughout history Totora has been used in Peru, most notably for fishing vessels dating back 3,000 years. In Lake Titicaca the Uros people live on floating islands made of Totora.
